Samsung opens Rs 999 pre-reservations for next Galaxy foldables ahead of July 22 launch

Samsung has opened pre-reservations in India for its next generation of Galaxy foldable smartphones, weeks ahead of a global launch event scheduled for July 22. Customers can reserve a unit by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 999, with no financial risk if they change their mind before completing a purchase.

The company has not confirmed the names of the upcoming devices, though it is widely rumoured that Samsung will bring three foldables this year: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Those who pre-reserve now and go on to complete a purchase after launch will receive benefits worth Rs 2,799, Samsung said.

Pre-reservations are open through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon India, Flipkart and leading retail stores across the country. Samsung says its next generation of foldables will combine AI with new foldable designs to deliver more personalised and adaptive experiences, while continuing to make devices thinner, lighter and stronger.

The Galaxy Unpacked event itself will take place on July 22 in London, streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel from 6:30 pm IST. Beyond foldables, the event is also expected to bring the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and a first proper showcase of Samsung’s long-anticipated Android XR smart glasses.
