Google may be killing the 128GB Pixel, and prices are about to rise

Google is set to unveil its next-generation Pixel phones on August 12. Likely to be called the Pixel 11 series, the lineup may consist of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Ahead of the scheduled launch, a new leak, first reported by French deals website Dealabs, claims Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 lineup may launch without a 128GB storage option. The alleged pricing details suggest all Pixel 11 models could start with 256GB of storage instead — a major change from previous generations. The leak also claims the new phones could cost more in Europe, with some models seeing price increases of around €100.

According to the leak, the standard Pixel 11 could start at €999 for the 256GB model, while the Pixel 11 Pro may begin at €1,199. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is reportedly expected to start at €1,399, while the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold could carry a starting price of €1,999. No US pricing has leaked so far.

Leaked rumours suggest the physical silhouettes of the devices will remain largely identical to previous generations, with one notable exception: a rumoured ‘Pixel Glow’ physical notification indicator. Analysts have also noted that rising global tech component costs will impact the phones’ final retail prices and baseline specifications.
