AI PCs made up 1 in 5 laptops sold this Prime Day, as smart-home gadgets surge
AI-powered laptops accounted for one in five Windows laptops sold during Amazon India's Prime Day, while robotic vacuums, coffee machines and smart water purifiers saw sharp growth.
AI PCs accounted for one in five Windows laptops sold during Amazon India’s Prime Day 2026, as customers embraced AI-powered technology across categories, the company said.
New-age kitchen products such as robotic vacuums and coffee machines grew 4.3X during the sale, while smart water purifiers attracted twice as many customers compared to the previous year. The trend came alongside Amazon India’s announcement that this year’s Prime Day, its 10th edition, was the fastest yet.
In cities with Amazon Now, one in two items on deal were delivered in just minutes, and same-day deliveries surged more than 3X compared to last year, with one in four Prime Day orders reaching customers the same day. More than half of all orders were delivered before the event ended.
Premium technology categories also saw strong demand: premium TVs above Rs 35,000 grew 2X, with buyers increasingly opting for 65-inch and larger screens. Nearly one in two shoppers chose Amazon Pay as their payment method, and one in four purchases across mobiles, TVs and large appliances were made on EMI, with four out of five of those through No Cost EMI.
Amazon Pay Later grew more than 2.5X year-on-year, making premium purchases more accessible to a wider set of customers during the sale.
