GIGABYTE bets big on India: its first local-made gaming laptop is here
GIGABYTE has unveiled the GAMING A16, its first India-manufactured gaming laptop, built with Dixon Technologies and powered by AMD Ryzen chips.
GIGABYTE’s first India-made gaming laptop is finally here. The GIGABYTE GAMING A16 is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor and built to handle both gaming and AI-ready computing tasks by tapping into AMD’s technologies, giving Indian buyers a locally produced option from a brand better known for importing its hardware.
The laptop is manufactured through a new partnership with Dixon Technologies, which combines GIGABYTE’s global engineering and quality standards with Dixon’s local manufacturing capabilities. GIGABYTE says its leadership worked closely with Dixon at every stage of the project so the India-built units still meet the same global benchmarks for performance, reliability and quality as laptops made anywhere else in the world.
To mark the launch, Sinclair Hsiao, GIGABYTE’s vice president of global sales, travelled to India with senior leaders from the company’s headquarters representing Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance. ‘India has become one of the most exciting technology and gaming markets in the world, and we believe Indian consumers deserve products built to the same uncompromising global standards that gamers everywhere expect from GIGABYTE,’ Hsiao said.
Hsiao called the launch ‘more than a manufacturing milestone,’ describing it as a sign of GIGABYTE’s long-term commitment to India. ‘This is only the beginning. We will continue investing in India, strengthening our local manufacturing capabilities, and bringing more world-class gaming technologies closer to Indian consumers,’ he said.
GIGABYTE described India as one of the world’s most dynamic PC and gaming markets, driven by a rapidly expanding community of gamers, creators, students and technology enthusiasts. The company said deepening its local manufacturing footprint, while keeping every product aligned with its global standards, strengthens supply chain resilience and improves how it responds to demand in the Indian market.
GIGABYTE called the GAMING A16 launch the beginning of a new chapter in its India journey, built on continued local investment and collaboration with domestic manufacturing partners like Dixon Technologies.
